Jim Ingram
Born and raised on the east coast, Jim stumbled across Aspen, Colorado on a cross-country bike tour. Jim was the former head guide and manager for Colorado Riff Raft for 9 years. In 2004 he decided it was time to start his own company—AWR. While staying busy running his company, Jim is still enjoying guiding whitewater rafting in the summer and ski patrolling in Aspen in the winter.
Dan Leuschel
A South Carolina native, Dan began following his whitewater dreams with his older brothers at an early age. When he turned 18, he moved to Aspen. Simultaneously, he found everything he’d been looking for—big mountains, great rivers, diverse trails, and lots of other people looking for adventure. Dan is now the head boatman for AWR and heads up the class IV/V operation. He enjoys seeing the world from the deck of a kayak and has done so most recently in New Zealand, Chile, and Ecuador.
Samantha Pardee
Sam was born and raised in Boulder, CO. Growing up at the base of the Flatirons, her family was always outside, either skiing, riding horses, hiking, camping, etc. there was no shortage of outdoor activities! After moving to South Carolina for college and New York City there after, the mountains called her back. Now a resident of Carbondale, you can find her, playing with her dog Rusty, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or just enjoying the Roaring Fork life.

Marina Thompson
Marina fled the fields of Indiana 6 years ago as a nomad to enjoy the views and activities that the west has to offer. She found herself in Aspen in 2022 and hasn’t found a reason to leave since becoming a raft guide here. In her free time when she’s not guiding, walking dogs or serving tables, you can find her hiking, rafting, biking, paddle boarding, skiing or basking in the sun on the nearest rock outside of her home on wheels. She loves sharing with guests the same experience that keeps her here!

Niq Baldwin
Hey so I grew up in the southeast, and got into guiding on the Chattanooga as well as a few other east coast rivers for about 6 years. Then I headed out to the Pacific Northwest and guided all over Washington, Oregon and Idaho, spending winters guiding on the border of Mexico in Texas for another 6 years and finally decided to move to Colorado to continue to hone my skills on all the great runs Colorado has to offer. Rivers have been a passion of mine since I was a little kid, and while I have other hobbies like playing music and painting, rivers have seeped their way into those outlets as well. Now, nothing feels like home more than being on the water.
Calvin Meyer
Hey, I’m Calvin this is my 7th season guiding I started guiding on the Arkansas in the royal gorge years ago and then left Colorado for a while to explore California and Oregon. Now I’m stoked to be back out here in Aspen. I was once in a competitive unicycle club called WOW (Wheels of Wonder). I enjoy wagyu beef and lobster very much.
